services

From sports and work-related injuries to surgery rehabilitation, Lexington Physical Therapy Associates is equipped to handle all your physical therapy needs. To help you understand your options, we’ve included descriptions of some of our leading services on this page.

Sports injuries

From decreasing inflammation to aid recovery from an acute injury to correcting your form to prevent a recurrence, we work to support your best performance. Our physical therapists help you smoothly transition from rehab back to training for your sport.  We offer individually tailored exercise plans from strength training to building endurance for distance running. We can even work with your coach or trainer to ensure a consistent plan from the clinic to the field.

Joint replacements

After a joint replacement, you’re working to overcome inactivity and pain from both before and after your surgery. Our physical therapists work within the precautions and protocols provided by your surgeon to help you regain motion and strength. We use our experience to guide you through the stages of a normal recovery, and to quickly identify and act on any complications that may arise.

Low back pain

Low back pain is a common complaint with many possible causes. Our physical therapists work to diagnose the root cause of your pain and address it so that you can return to your normal activities. We combine treatments that decrease pain and inflammation with exercise to help strengthen the area and prevent further irritation.

Repetitive stress injuries

Repetitive stress injuries often arise at work, where you spend many hours performing the same activity in the same position. Our physical therapists address your injury while helping you identify what caused it. We help you understand what you need from your work environment in order to avoid further pain and injury, from simple strategies you can follow on your own to ergonomic guidelines for your workplace.
